Recenzenta de pe online-ul NYT, MANOHLA DARGIS, m-a delectat (din nou) cu o cronică la filmul “Synecdoche, New York”. M-a îmbârligat şi acroşat din primele rânduri prin suspecta absenţă a unei "priviri" cât mai obiective (cum m-a obişnuit). Vizibil, pelicula a răvăşit-o, a scos-o din pepenii ei de newyorker scorţos, deci, nu-mi rămâne decât să îndemn: să o vedem şi noi! Poate domnii Gorzo et A.L.Ş. ne vor omeni în curând cu opiniile dânşilor. Să nu fie cumva, însă, vreo comedioară cu accente socialist-autocompătimitoare, ci, chiar cum susţine doamna Dargis: about authenticity, including the search for an authentic self in an inauthentic world....a film about failure, about the struggle to make your mark in a world filled with people who are more gifted, beautiful, glamorous and desirable than the rest of us — we who are crippled by narcissistic inadequacy, yes, of course, but also by real horror, by zits, flab and the cancer that we know (we know!) is eating away at us and leaving us no choice but to lie down and die.
