I was outside watching some children that ought to have been staying close to their mothers, were searching for something fun to do on a football field, when they should have been in a more appropriate place to play. Their mothers were sitting on a bench smoking and talking, while they should have been paying more attention to their children. Because they were young and without any experience, they didn’t even notice when the children had gone out of their sight.

And maybe the smoke that shouldn’t have been distracting them was bluring their sight. Young mothers shouldn’t have been smoking while they were out with their children. After some time, the children came back full of scartches and crying while searching for their mothers that ought to have taken better care of them.

Obviously they were surprised and immediately took the children at home. But shouldn’t have they been more cautious in order to avoid something like this from happening? Not to mention, it could have been worse. Maybe those careless mothers should have been punished, or simply ought to be more responsible as mothers.

After all, children are our future.
