Doar o jurnalistă germană s-a interesat de protestul HP

Following the horrific attack on the human rights activist Nasibov in Azerbaijan, the Moldovan Human Rights NGO, Hyde Park, would like to express its solidarity with the journalists and activists being prosecuted and harassed by unidentified people (at this hour), as well as ask the Azerbaijan government for a prompt, efficient and transparent investigation of this outrageous case of assault. Moreover, taking into account the poor health situation of Nasibov and the pressure exerted on his family, we ask the government to ensure Nasibov and his family protection and medical aid.
According to the Human Rights Watch, the attack took place on 21st of August, 2014 in Nasibov’s office – Resource Center for Development of NGOs and Democracy. Therefore, we strongly believe that this attack was related to his work as a journalist and human rights activist in Azerbaijan.
We would like to bring to your attention that the brutal attack on Nasibov is not the first case of violence and torture inflicted on human rights activists in Azerbaijan. Thus, in this context, as a Human Rights NGO, Hyde Park will take further actions by protesting in the street.
