I’ve never identified myself as the type of person who would be able to spend 5 days in one and the same place. As an explorer and very energetic person, I am usually all about walking, discovering the surroundings, eating out in local restaurants, getting closer to the culture. However, my trip to Saint Tropez surprised me. We spent the holidays at my friend’s, Jessica Choay, villa. It was just as I’d imagined, filled with the atmosphere of Brigitte Bardot and Louis de Funes movies. The first days were so lazy that we didn’t even want to leave. However, when we did go out into the city, I was a bit disappointed. Too crowded, no beach in the actual Saint Tropez (only outside), too loud… Everything was so different to the ideal picture I’d had in my mind from all the childhood movies and stories.That’s when I realized that I liked the idea of an intimate dinner with friends and home made food more than the “luxury” of Saint Tropez.
