Mișcarea Femen a făcut apel către societatea franceză ca să condamne acest gest, iar administrației catedralei i-a propus să calculeze prejudiciul cauzat de acel gest sîngeros, și să înainteze pretenții pecuniare față de politiciana Marine Le Pen, lidera dreptei franceze, pentru că aceasta ar fi susținut public acel act de sinucidere.
