When I was a Freshman in college, I read an interesting book that got me to think about the subject of "dating". I was born in the later half of the 20th Century and all of my life was taught that the idea of dating was normal. Since I did not know of any other way, I just assumed that is the way that things had always been done, since time immemorial.
