You know the feeling when you want to say a lot of things, but you can’t because you’re astonished? Well, i feel like that for already 5 days. 5 days with Sunny Days. 5 days with my collegues from Greece and Estonia. 5 days and there are more to come.
Yes, yes…this is the start of the true story of my eXperience in Cluj-Napoca, which is a very beautiful city. A very historical one, with not so high buildings as there are in Chişinău, but with awesome architecture. I’ve took a lot of photos. You can see them here. I am in X being a member of AIESEC Chişinău and through EVS programm.
And the main activity that i have to do is being arround teens, play intelligent games with them, have sessions about important things that they need. Actually, when i decided to come, i didn’t knew i am going to work with teens, but with children. But now, it doesn’t make the difference, because even it is the 3rd day to be arround them, i feel very good and we spend good time together. But about this a little later.
I arrived on the 30th of june, at 6:30 in the morning. It was raining and i was cold. I had two luggages and an open heart. But there was no one waiting for me
I did’t panic.( You should never panic in this situation), because you never know why it happened and it is unappropriate to suppose. So, i waited till almost 7 and i called the vicepresident of Incoming X from AIESEC Cluj to ask if they didn’t forget about me and of course she said no ( i’m lucky
). When i have decided to open one of my luggage to change my shoes, i saw a flag. An AIESEC Cluj-Napoca flag for eXchange participants. It was so cool and i already felt that i am part of it. We left for the apartment. The day was very exhausting, beause me, the OCP of the project and other members were 3 times at the airport to meet other eXchange participants: Chris, Konstantina, Nikos, Helen and Kati.
After all that, the next day we went to meet officialy the city. The old city center, the curches, some pubs, our road till the apartment. To meet the people. We will see all this and more in one moth and a half. Then comes the second wave of Sunny Days 2.0 and i don’t want to think about it now…
Till monday, the 6 of us had fun. From this monday, we started working at the FRCCF(Fundatia Romana pentru Copii, Comunitate si Familie)
. I cannot say it is an easy job, but it is worth it.
Stay “tuned” to my eXchange adventures also (soon) on http://sunnydayscj.wordpress.com/ and of course, you can read more from one of the EPs, Nikos Foros‘s blog.
So…foaie verde Cluj
