Overview: Vendetta Online is a graphically intensive MMORPG set in space. Players take the role of spaceship pilots in a vast, persistent online galaxy. Trade between stations and build an empire, or pirate traders who dare to pursue routes through areas of lawless space. Fight other players, or cooperate with friends to push back the mysterious Hive. Mine ores and minerals, gather resources, and craft unusual items. Join the military of your nation, and participate in massive online battles (see the trailer). A wide variety of gameplay styles are available, from the the intensity of huge battles and realtime PvP, to the low-key enjoyment of quiet trading and mining in less dangerous areas of the galaxy. Play the style of game that suits you, or that suits your current mood. The availability of relatively casual and short-term goals allows for fun when only a little time is available to play.

Vendetta Online is a subscription-based title, with a recurring cost of between $7 and $10 per month. Although the game is available for Mac, Windows and Linux (all versions play within the same galaxy), the Android version includes several exclusive benefits:
- Single-Player “Free Play” mode: after completing the tutorial, a free-play sandbox sector becomes available, letting you perfect your flying technique and enjoy minigames while offline. This feature will be expanded in future patches, and will permanently be available to anyone with the game installed, regardless of whether they ever choose to subscribe. Enjoy!
- Special extended trial period of 16 hours of in-game time. Play an hour a day for 16 days, or 16 hours all at once, it’s up to you. No strings attached, find out if the game is for you.
- “Demo” mode: an extensive demonstration of pre-recorded network play, showing off the graphics and content that become available in Vendetta Online. This is completely realtime, and uses the game engine, it is not a video.
System requirements and recommendations:
- NVIDIA Tegra-based tablet, 7-inches or larger, preferably running Android Honeycomb (Froyo or better required), such as the Motorola Xoom.
- We recommend 500MB of free SD space. The game itself uses about 250MB, but also self-updates and patches itself outside of the Android Market, so additional free space is advised.
- We suggest installing over Wifi (for the large download), but playing the game itself should use relatively little bandwidth, and works well over most 3G networks. As always, you are responsible for monitoring your own bandwidth usage.
Caveats and Additional Information:
- The tablet flight interface takes a little time to learn, although it is effective with some experience. There are also additional options which may be enabled, such as accelerometer control (tilt-to-steer), etc. The flight UI will be continually improved over the coming weeks, as we receive user feedback.
- The current Android build uses the menu interface from the PC version of the game. This involves scrollbars and interface elements that, while fully functional, are not as polished of a touchscreen experience as we would like. Development of an improved menu interface for touch devices is ongoing, and existing builds will be patched and upgraded when it is available.
- We are a continually evolving game, often with patches released every week. Our users are encouraged to help the game development process by posting to the Suggestions and Android forums of our website, http://www.vendetta-online.com . If you like the game, but want to see improvements to a certain aspect, and have a good idea of what would help, please bring it to our attention. We expect to continually refine and improve the Android version, and the game itself, for a long time to come.
- Integrated voice chat is not yet present on the Android version, but we expect it to be added in the next few weeks. Voice chat will be compatible across all versions, so you will be able to talk to friends on PCs or Macs, etc.
