Tips: This is extra money you give someone for a service they have provided.

at restaurant:
15 – 20% if it is a sit-down restaurant where a waiter/tress takes your order and brings you your food.
$0 if you order your food from the counter.
$1 per drink if you order from the bar.
$1 for a coat check when you pick up your coat

at the hairdresser:
$2-3 for men getting their hair cut at a barber
10 – 20% for women getting their hair cut at a salon

at an airport:
$2 if a person carries your bags

in a taxi:
15% of the total fare/charge

at a hotel:
$1-3 for the person who carries your bags
$1 if the doorman calls you a taxi
$1 for the maid each night

to a tour-guide:
10-15% of the tour price
