Since returning to the US in July 2007, I haven't left, and ooooooh am I feeling restless. A month or so ago I got my fancy new passport (embedded microchip and all...plus just really pretty art on the pages) and I can't wait for an opportunity to use it. I don't even need to leave the country, though that would be my first choice. I just want to go somewhere!


So, I am absolutely thrilled to have not one but TWO upcoming trips to look forward to: a weekend roadtrip in two weeks to Asheville, NC and (time permitting) Charelston, SC, followed by a spring break trip to Puerto Rico! It's going to be hard to pull myself away from travel guides long enough to read for classes. Maybe come the end of school I can even persuade a couple friends to head north to Montreal with me, and then all my travel wishes will come true! Brief getaways, then the tropics, then finally another country (and poutine)!
