He might not be that new, afterall Raf Simons has spent almost two years at Christian Dior as their creative director. However, I think this 2014 pre-fall you’re seeing here, is the “renaissance” of one of the classiest fashion houses in the world.

I remember all the speculations about Raf’s first collection as the creative director, because he was so different to the world’s idea of Christian Dior. Though not welcomed by many older customers of the brand, the designer caught the attention of many people in the fashion world with a very architectural and precise style. Balancing the tailored spirit of the classical Dior somewhere between the Celine minimalism and Stella McCartney’s sharp tailoring, Raf brings it to a whole new level. And I’m pretty sure this is the right perception of elegance of the 21st century.

And now I’ll say that I’m totally ripping off that Dress x Turtleneck idea!!
