Un blog foarte interesant despre rolul bibliotecii în viaţa oamenilor, a familiei şi a comunităţii. Istorii reale despre cum bibliotecile au schimbat în bine viaţa unor utilizatori. Idei foarte bune pentru a argumenta importanţa şi necesitatea bibliotecii. Puncte de reper  pentru cei care pledează cauza bibliotecilor, pentru “avocaţii” bibliotecii şi ai profesiei.

Libraries Changed My Life (LCML)  este o mişcare inţiată de două  bibliotecare din SUA: Ingrid, bibliotecar pentru copii din New York şi  Natali, bibliotecar de reţea din Florida. Scopul blogului – crearea unui spaţiu virtual, unde oamenii pot să povestească despre relaţiile lor cu biblioteca, promovând dragostea pentru bibliotecă. Persoanele preocupate de valoarea bibliotecilor pot vedea care este impactul acestora asupra oamenilor.V.O.

There are not enough words to express what our public library has meant to my family. For 50+ years we have visited the library for age appropriate books, videos, magazines, reading programs, computer usage, meetings, summer reading programs, Book Club w/ discussions, game night, chess, checkers,cards, and socializing w/ other members, learning how to use a library card when of age,and learning the rules of the library-respect, being quiet, how to care and protect books and equipment. etc.There is pleasure, enjoyment, and education from books w/ out realizing you are doing it.

The library can bring your family closer together for family night, book club,games, videos and all free from the library.
